Do I need a living trust, or is a will enough?

A will still goes through probate — the public, court-supervised process that can take a year or more in California and consume a meaningful share of the estate in statutory fees. What does probate cost and how long does it take in California?

What happens in the first meeting?

A conversation. You bring your questions and whatever documents you have, we walk through your family, your property, and what you want protected, and we tell you plainly what your plan should include and what it will cost.

My parent just died. What do we do now?

Bring us the documents you can find — a will, a trust, deeds, account statements, the death certificate. If there is a trust, we guide the successor trustee through administration. If there is not, we handle the probate filing and walk the family through each step of the court process.
